Tara & Steven, St Ives Guildhall

From the minute Steven and I decided to get married we knew we didn't want a fuss. I don't think we could have paired things down any further if we tried.

The one thing we did want was a lasting memory, some pictures to share with friends and family. We decided to get Married In St Ives in Cornwall alone with just our dogs Bert and Ernie and two witnesses borrowed from the Guildhall. As we are based in Nottingham I got to task in finding the right person to capture the day for us. I looked on a few sites of local photographers they were lovely but I was looking for something a bit different.

I emailed Chris after looking at his website. I'm not entirely sure why but I just got a feeling he could meet what we wanted. He was prompt in getting back to me and we started emailing back and forth to make arrangements.

Quite quickly I knew we had made the right choice. Chris was so helpful and accommodating. He just made us feel at ease.

It was clear he wanted things to be just right for us. We stayed in contact by phone and email to discuss any ideas and thought that we had even down to Chris checking the tide times for us so that we could ensure getting some pictures down on the local beach.

On the big day Chris was brilliant as per our wish list Chris met us at the venue and straight away on meeting we fell totally at ease. Chris was not invasive in our short ceremony but snapped away happily {our hope ethos was just catch what happens} he guided us afterwards to a great spot on the beach to catch some moments between us.

I have to say and I think Chris will agree our day was truly ours and probably one of the most intimate weddings but Chris made us feel just as special as any big budget huge venue and guest list wedding. He cared about what we wanted and captured the true essence of our day perfectly.

Post wedding Chris had our pictures ready within the week and was quick to make sure we were happy. Which of course we are.

Thank you Chris. x
