OUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO & APPROACH.
Our approach to wedding photography is relaxed and yet creative; most of a wedding day I spend my time photographing in a reportage/photojournalistic way. During your wedding day I try and work with the natural light as much as possible and may place the bride and groom into a location, which allows me to capture special moments in beautiful light. I do enjoy being creative at a wedding, whether it is during the bridal portrait photographs or nipping outside before the cake cutting and using some off camera flash to capture a beautiful sunset. These are the kind of images that make beautiful full page or double spreads within the wedding album.
CREATIVE WEDDING IMAGES
90% of a wedding day is spent photographing in a documentary style, capturing natural, emotional photographs of not only the bride and groom but also their wedding guests. I’m very discreet and often will be photographing people without them knowing, the helps to capturing true emotion.
My wedding photography style is very clean and vibrant in colour. Instead of chasing trends which I feel will date over time, my classic style you will look back and see beautiful images. If you look at my sample wedding album you will see that they are very clean and simple, with no crazy templates, sepia, cross fades or white vignettes. The timeless look that I create will ensure that your photographs will be well received by future generations.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do we go about booking you?
To book me as your wedding photographer, you just need to fill out the contact form and pay a booking fee of £250 which is non-refundable. Please note that I am unable to hold a date provisionally, therefore all dates are considered available until such time as a booking form and the required fee have been received and confirmed.
When do we need to pay the full amount?
The full amount is due 30days before the wedding.
Do you do group shots?
Yes I do try but try and keep these to a smaller number as possible. At a normal wedding I would take a big group shot with everybody, and some shots of the bridal party.
How quickly will the pictures be ready?
Normally the day after the wedding I will post a sneak peak on my blog showing a small selection from the day. About 2 weeks after the wedding I will produce all the edited wedding photographs for you to see.
How far will you travel?
As a Cornwall wedding photographer the majority of my wedding are within the South West. With wedding outside a radius of 40miles there will be extra costs incurred. If the wedding is outside Devon then an over nights’ accommodation will need to be provided.
Do you offer free consultations for us to discuss our day with you?
Yes. As each wedding day is totally unique and find that I can answer all your questions in one consultation rather than 10 emails going back and forth. During this meeting we will run through your plans for the day, I show you my sample albums, and answer any questions you may have. A good place to have the consultation is at the wedding venue if possible as we can talk about where to have photographs taken.
What backup equipment do you bring to the wedding?
I have a full range of back up equipment with a spare camera body, memory cards, battery, flashes etc.
Do you do a pre-wedding site visit?
Yes, I always check out the venue before the wedding. This saves time on your wedding day looking for locations when I could be taking photographs of you and your guests.
Do you do a pre-wedding/engagement shoot?
With my biggest price package the engagement shoot is included, but can be brought separately. Please see my Engagement page for more information.
Are you insured?
Yes I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance.
